Short trails - Up to 5 km
Blomsholm - 0.5 km Download map>>
An exciting cultural area that contains a majestic stone monument formed like a ship, believed being a burial monument from the iron age. There is a marked hiking loop here.
Capri - 1.6-3.1 km Download map>>
A place for walking and swimming in beautiful nature. Here is a lovely area with both sandy and rocky beaches and beautiful outcrops.
Daftö- 1.5-5 km Download map>>
Daftö is a good choice for easy walks. Choose to walk along the beach, on the "history trail" or into the woods and fields.
Dragonkullen - Kasen - 1.5-5 km Download map>>
There is a parking lot at Idefjordens Sportklubb's sports cabin Kasen and from here the path up to the lookout tower on Dragonkullen starts. More trails can be found here.
Erlandsröd terrain track - 1.1-4 km Download map>>
Exercise track, outdoor gym and excursion trail. Running, walking and nature experience with wilderness loop, viewpoint and wind shelter.
Furholmen - 1 km Download map>>
The small bathing islet outside Strömstad contains so much more than swimming.
Boat trips leave from Strömstad during the summer. Out of season you get here by own boat.
Färingestugan - 1.3 km Download map>>
An unmarked path leads along the Färingesjön to Friluftsfrämjandet's (Swedish Outdoor Association) cabin, which offers a nice coffee spot. Open service Sundays October-Easter.
Halle-Vagnaren - 5 km Download map >>
At Halle-Vagnaren you get both the coast and old grumpy pine forest. Fragrant heather, green moss cushions and the exciting pine forest with trees that are well over 300 years old.
Hällekind - 0.3-5.4 km Download map>>
The peninsula Hällekind is a nice outdoor area with marked trails and maps. Partly demanding hike.
Kobbungen - 5 km Download map>>
Kobbungen has relatively untouched nature, rich plant and animal life and a diversity of different natural environments to discover. Within the area there are a number of smaller paths.

The Koster Islands
Both national park and nature reserve with marked trails.
The islands are large enough to be discovered on foot and in summertime you are never far from a salty dip in the sea. Beautiful swimming, good food and good accommodation are also available on Koster, read more about the Koster Islands
- North Koster - 1.3-5 km Download map>>
Nordkoster is characterized by barren nature, high waves, lighthouses and traces from the Ice Age with cobblestone fields.
- South Koster - 2.5-4.8 km Download map >>
Large parts of Sydkoster's marked hiking trails allow you to walk close to the sea, but some parts take you into the landscape characterized by fields, meadows and pastures.
Kuststigen Kebal - Seläter - 3 km Download map>>
Between Nötholmen and Seläter runs a coastal path that winds its way between houses, hills and beaches.
Naturstigen Ekopark - 2 km Download map>>
Easy walking but with partly more challenging areas that changes character several times. There is also a bird watching tower here that looks out over the bird-rich Hålkedalskilen.
Nord Långö - 2.5 km Download map>>
Nice walking paths and bathing opportunities. Summer time boat runs from the north harbour in Strömstad. In low seasons you get her by own boat. The trails start from Alaska, a culturally historical stone and flower garden.
Nötholmen - 1.8-3 km Download map >>
Nötholmen gives you close-to-city island walking on paths in hilly terrain with spans and stairs. Nötholmen also offers a shorter wheelchair-accessible path in a beachside environment.
Röseberget - 1.3 km Download map>>
Walk near the city with a fantastic view of the city of Strömstad and outlook the archipelago all the way to Koster islands.
Saltö nature reserve - 2 km Download map>>
Walk in the nature reserve through the forest and end up on the coastal line. Here is a unique coastal pine forest that only occurs in Bohuslän. Several detours are available.

Tjärndalen-Lagunen 2.6-5.4 km Download map>>
Easy hiking in an area characterized by hilly wooded terrain. Outdoor area with bike park, barbecue area and disc golf course.
Västra Rossö - Kockholmen - 1.5-2 km Download map>>
Wide view of the Koster fjord. Seaside nature reserve with nice walking areas with lots of granite and potholes. Marked hiking trails.

Medium trails - Up to 10 km
Hälsans stig 7 km Download map>>
Hälsans Stig is a safe and walking-friendly loop. The path goes in nature close to the city, through residential areas and you pass several historic buildings and places.
Kasen 6-10 km Download map>>
At Idefjordens Sportklubb's Kasen sports cabin, there is parking and several trails of varying nature start from here. Marked trails with reflectors and poles. Cross country ski trails during winter when enough snow.
Viltstigen and trail track, Erlandsröd terrain track 6.5 & 10.6 km Download map>>
Nature experience with wilderness loop, viewpoint and wind shelter. Shorter trails, outdoor gym and excursion trails are also available.
Long trails - Up to 20 km
The long tour Sydkoster, 13 km Download map>>
The long trail takes you around the entire Sydkoster. You walk along beaches, on rocks, paths and meadows, through the national park and past the unusual Bohuslinden and the protected thistle.
Bohusleden's stages
Stage 24 - Vassbotten-Håvedalen, 19 km Download map>>
Stage 24 of the Bohusleden is a trail with varying landscapes, from mountains and bare rocks to outcrops and agricultural countryside. It is, considering some people, one of the most beautiful stages of the Bohusleden.
Stage 25 - Håvedalen-Krokstrand, 11.5 km Download map>>
The tour includes substantial differences in height, but also the history of stonemasons. One moment you are walking on mountains with miles of views and a moment later you are walking down the shore of the Idefjord.
Stage 26 - Krokstrand-Högstad, 17 km Download map>>
This stage takes you as far north as you can on the Bohusleden and up to Bohuslän's highest peak - Björnerödspiggen.
Stage 27 - Högstad-Strömstad, 15 km Download map>>
The final stage on the Bohusleden offers you who are interested in history a real smorgasbord. The trail passes both ancient remains, a cave and provides opportunities for interesting detours.

In Strömstad, the Coast Path follows our east coast towards the Idefjord all the way up to the old Svinesund Bridge, where the trail continues into Norway. It is an opportunity to do full or multi-day hikes.
Viewpoints
It's nice to have a goal with your excursion and it's a lovely reward to sit down and unpack the coffee basket and enjoy beautiful views. In the folder there are some viewpoints collected.
