Bröllop, begravning och dop
Tv-dramat Bröllop, begravning och dop är en serie i fyra delar regisserad av Colin Nutley. Vi får följa två familjer vars liv flätas samman av ett bröllop mellan deras respektive döttrar. Serien är till stora delar inspelad här i Ulricehamn och under hösten 2019 har det omtyckta dramat fått en uppföljare då en andra säsong filmats, även den i Ulricehamn. - Ulricehamn är vår filmstad för allt fungera ju här, säger Helena Bergström.
You choose your friends but your family is there waiting for you when you are born- good or bad.
People you love. People you don´t. And these people, throughout your life, pop up every time there is a reason for families to come together. The uncles and aunties you only meet on these occasions. The cousins you wish you met more and the cousins you could do without meeting at all. The conversations where you catch up on life, the gossip, and the backtalk - the things that are said when you´re in earshot and the things that are said when you´re out of earshot. You meet the drinkers, the depressive, the people who never talk and the people who can never stop talking. The relatives who always want to let you know they´ve done better than you and the grandmother you love who has too little time left on this earth. The circle of life never stops turning.
In that room, in that church, at that reception dramas unfold. People are funny, people are tragic, people are not always nice. But at the end of the day people are touching.
When I grew up it was always the same church. The same reception hall and more or less the same family, changed only by birth, death – and the most dramatic events is of course a wedding, which suddenly makes the family twice as big.
BRÖLLOP, BEGRAVNING OCH DOP – one year in the lives of two families that allows me to play out the stories and characters that have touched me throughout my own life.
Set in small town Sweden the story centres two homes, one church, one reception hall and four women – more about them later… The arena is simple and formal – the people are not. The form is, in Shakespearean terms, a comedy of errors, just the same as in all of our lives. However, in this case it´s a black comedy set up by one huge mistake.
Never take things for granted. Now and again life kicks you in the face.

Det är en imponerande rollista som Colin satt samman och många av skådespelarna som är med är mer än välkända för den svenska filmpubliken.
Under juli månad 2018 startade inspelningarna av säsong ett av Colin Nutleys TV-Serie Bröllop, Begravning & Dop. Publiken älskade serien som blev en stor succé och därför har det under hösten 2019 spelats in en andra säsong. I Ulricehamn har vi under båda inspelningarna haft förmånen att stå värdar och välkomna Helena & Colin och hela deras team.
Inspelningsplatser var bland annat Ulricehamns vackra gågata, Storgatan men också Ulricehamns Kallbadhus och Hökerums Slott där många inomhusscener spelats in. Ulricehamnarna har under 2019 fått se den gemytliga gågatan i centrum redan i början av november förvandlas till julsmyckad. Julgranar, stjärnor, stakar och ljusslingor togs fram i förtid då Colin önskade filma scener med shoppinggatan i juleskrud . Handlare och privatpersoner i centrum tyckte jul-idén var kul och Colins önskemål togs emot mycket positivt av befolkningen som fick en härligt upplyst samlingsplats i den annars gråa november.
