Cross-country skiing at Lassalyckan
Lassalyckan has ski trails to suit every type of skier – from professionals to families with children. There are also plenty of options for refreshments and barbecuing. Our five picnic areas can be used to make a fire and grill a few sausages or simply relax and enjoy a packed lunch from home.
Trails
Lassalyckan's artificial snow cannon enable us to spread artificial snow directly on the trails. In favourable weather conditions, the entire trail can be completely covered in 3–4 days. The artificial snow trail stretches up to 11.5 km, with 8.3 km equipped with electric lighting. There are also three trails for natural snow measuring 5, 10 and 15 km. These are usable in good winter conditions. Skiing on all the above trails requires a ski pass for adults over 16 years of age.
Trail map
Lighted trail 3.6 km: Slightly hilly, suitable for most people.
Yellow trail 5 km: A slightly hilly trail well suited to beginners and training sessions.
Green trail 10 km: Slightly hillier than the yellow trail. This is the ideal trail for more experienced skiers.
Black and white trail 15 km: This elite level trail places very high demands on skiers, in terms of both physical condition and technique.
When there is plenty of natural snow, you can also ski on the nearby golf course. As soon as this is possible, trails are staked out on the green and you are free to ski there. These trails are even groomed and the skiing season most often begins on the golf course. No ski pass is necessary. The golf course also has some great slopes for sledding! When there is plenty of natural snow, a sledding slope is also groomed in the 'warm-up area'.
Ulricehamns IF's clubhouse has changing rooms, a sauna, toilets, warming hut and waxing facilities open to visitors.

Vasaloppet Centre
The Vasaloppet race organisers have approved Lassalyckan as an official Vasaloppet Centre, the first official centre in southern Sweden. Lassalyckan in Ulricehamn can now offer Vasaloppet skiers and other sports enthusiasts quality-assured training facilities all year round. Becoming an official Vasaloppet Centre is strictly regulated. Appointment represents a seal of approval for facilities with a concerted focus on one of Vasaloppet's three disciplines: skiing, running and cycling. Approval is only granted to those offering first-rate training opportunities, quality accommodation and expertise and advice in technique and diet. Ulricehamn boasts varied terrain suitable for all three disciplines. What's more, the town has invested in Northern Europe's most advanced artificial snow cannon, ensuring ideal trails throughout the winter months.
Lassalyckan is now also a World Cup arena!
In January 2017, elite athletes from all over the world came to Lassalyckan and the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Ulricehamn 2017. The competitions included both men's and women's freestyle and relay events. In January 2019, World Cup competitions was held once more and in february 2021 the arena hosted it for the third time.
