Trollhättan
The local association to promote outdoor experiences in Trollhättan, Friluftsfrämjandet Trollhättan, are located close to the beautiful Lake Öresjö. Here is a starting point for several trails to explore the area, from 2.5 - 9 km. The trails can be used all year round and there are several places along the trails where you can sit down and enjoy a packed lunch.
The association Friluftsfrämjandet Trollhättan is located on the road leading up to Lake Öresjö and the popular beach Munkeboviken. Here, there are maps that show how the local hiking trails go. There are several trails to choose from; 2.5, 3.5, 4.3, 7.0 and 9.0 km. Along the 3.5 km trail and 7 and 9 km trails there are one fireplace along the trail if you want to sit down and make something to eat while exploring the area.
Enjoy nature at your own pace all year round. In the spring there are common hepatica, wood anemone, lily-of-the-valley and more to see along the trails. In July you can find and pick the European blueberry and raspberries and during autumn you can find tasty lingonberries. Mushrooms of different kinds can also be found but please keep in mind of what you can eat and not. You will find everything from chanterelles, boletes of different kinds but also poisonous mushrooms.
The trails are managed by Friluftsfrämjandet, who hope that everyone who uses the trails will have a nice time exploring and enjoying the area.
