Canoe rental - Ursand Resort and Camping
Begin your adventure on Lake Vänern from Ursand Resort and Camping, located just 4 kilometers from Vänersborg. The camping site offers a beautiful beach, pool area, restaurant and much more. They also offer canoe rental and the canoes can be booked at the ice cream cafe and are rented out during the cafe's opening hours. They must be returned no later than 7.30 p.m. To be sure that there are caones available, please call Ursand Resort and Camping beforehand.
You can rent canoes for half a day (4 hours) or a full day (8 hours). Life jackets are included in the price.

Kayak rental - Blågrönt Liv (Trollhättan)
There is also a company in nearby Trollhättan that offers kayak rental in Lake Vänern. Blågrönt Liv rents out Oaisis one-man kayaks, as well as some two-man kayaks. The kayaks are stable even in rough seas with adjustable footrests and lumbar support. Life jackets, canopy, pumps and more is inluded in the price. They mainly work in Trollhättan but for a fee you can ask for the kayaks to be delivered to you by Lake Vänern. You can also drive the kayaks with your own car with pick-up and drop-off taking place in Trollhättan, kayak mounts for roof racks are available.
Booking: Please send a text message or email with the desired number of kayaks you want to rent as well as rental date and where you want them delivered. The company will then answer your message and the booking is confirmed.

Kayak trips with Friluftsfrämjandet Vänersborg
Between May and September the local outdoor association Friluftsfrämjandet arranges kayak trips on Wednesday evenings in Lake Vänern. They also have their own kayaks that you can rent when participating in the trips.
