Swimming spot- Åstol
Åstol
The bathing spot is located on the western part of Åstol and features a children's pool with an attached slide and access to a toilet. There are cliffs, but for the little ones, there is also a saltwater pool.
Amenities
Åstol's bathing spot has a children's pool with a slide, a small sandy beach, and rocks. Restrooms are available at the bathing spot and near the small boat harbor.
Accessibility
The bathing spot is not accessible for people with disabilities.
Maintenance
During the summer, Åstol's community association takes care of the bathing spot.
New in 2023
Newly built changing rooms adjacent to the bathing spot. The children's pool at the bathing spot has been recently renovated.
How to get here
By car: After the Tjörn Bridge, turn left at the traffic lights and take road 169 towards Rönnäng. Drive to Rönnäng (approximately 20 km). Parking in Rönnäng is limited, and visitors are directed to park at Tjörn's ice rink (about a 20-minute walk to the ferry) during the summer.
By bus: Bus stop Rönnängs brygga (Rönnäng's dock) and then take the boat to Åstol. Check Västtrafik's journey planner for schedules.
Ferry: From Rönnäng's dock, there is a passenger ferry to Tjörnekalv, Åstol, and Dyrön. The ferry departs from Rönnäng approximately once per hour.
