City Center Fishing

You can fish for rainbow trout in the Tidan River, which flows through the center of Tidaholm. Fishing permits can be purchased at the Tidaholm Tourist Information and Matöppet. Fly fishing permits are exclusively available at Matöppet.

Fishing Area

The designated fishing stretch extends from Hörningsholmsbron to the large waterfall at Turbinhusön. Fishing is only allowed within the marked area. Fishing is prohibited in other parts of the river. Maps of the fishing area and permitted zones are available at the Tidaholm Tourist Information and Matöppet.

Fishing Methods

Permitted fishing methods include angling, spinning, and fly fishing. Each fishing permit allows the use of only one fishing rod at a time. Fishing can only take place during the ice-free season from the riverbank. With a valid fishing permit, you are allowed to catch two rainbow trout per day.

Fly Fishing

Zone A dedicated fly fishing zone exists from the large waterfall at Turbinhusön to Svängabron. In this area, only fly fishing is allowed. Maps of the fly fishing zone are available at Matöppet.
