Two months a year, the signal crayfish, with its distinctive white spots on its claws, takes center stage at VinContoret. During this time, we bait the traps and venture out to catch these small delicacies, either from a rowboat or along the banks of the Tidan River. Crayfishing in the Tidan River is a delightful experience that we are happy to share with you. The enjoyable anticipation and excitement when we finally pull up a well-filled crayfish trap. Or the thrilling moment when we check the traps to see a crayfish creeping up and attacking its prey. That's the perfect time to pull them up!
Tidan River gently flows outside VinContoret restaurant in Tidaholm. Crayfishing in Tidan River is a pleasant experience. Together, you'll catch crayfish, taste wine, and enjoy a classic Swedish crayfish party. All fishing equipment is provided by VinContoret. Small and large groups are welcome.

In the Crayfish Fishing Package, if you wish, you can also enjoy a night in a double room at the historic Tidaholms Stadshotell. A family-owned hotel with a great atmosphere and personalized service, located just a stone's throw away from VinContoret. In the hotel rooms, you'll find a comfortable bed, TV, a desk, and a fully tiled bathroom with a shower. Additionally, as a guest, you have access to a sauna and free wireless internet.
During the crayfishing season (from early August to mid-September), groups interested in crayfishing are welcome. Gather your friends, family, or colleagues for a crayfishing adventure. Together, you'll catch crayfish, taste wine, and enjoy a classic Swedish crayfish party.

Practical information: Bring slightly sturdier clothing and shoes. We provide all the equipment you might need for fishing. All crayfish caught are released back into the river at the end of the evening.
