Fishing in Ätran - Buttorps fors to Ljungaskog

There are several fishing reserves in the Hillared area. Ätran is divided into several different fishery conservation areas which are subject to different fishing licenses. Please note that separate fishing licenses are required for trout fishing!

This only applies to fishing in the main stem of Ätran. Children and adolescents under the age of 16 can fish for free, apart from in the rapids. Fishing is only permitted using hand-held equipment. Catching crayfish is prohibited! I is prohibited to fish in the rapids
Fishing within the following areas is not allowed:
• From residential land
• Cultivated land or fenced-off areas
• Areas can be exempted for nature conservation purposes and this is indicated by signs near the river.

All trout fishing is prohibited. Any trout caught must be handled with care and replaced.
