Tranemo church
Tranemo
Tranemo church was built in 1882, replacing the old wooden church.
History
Tranemo church was designed by the architect, Emil Langlet, from Borås, who also designed eleven other central churches around Sweden. The round church had two purposes when it was built, partly as an effective way to create more seating but also to clearly show the congregation gathering around the sacraments of baptism and communion: the baptismal font and the communion table were placed in the middle of the church.
