About the Church

There has been a church in Örsås since the 15th century. The small medieval church was extended in stages and was completed in 1818. The church was soon affected by fungus and was replaced by a new granite church building as early as 1958. The new building holds a congregation of 700. The altarpiece image of the Sermon on the Mount is surrounded by two painted church windows depicting people from the Bible.
