Centralen is located next to Tranemo lake, next to Tranemo high school, and the building is around 1,500 square metres in size. The name, Centralen, was decided by the city council, selected from a competition that took place during the autumn of 2018.
Centralen is a partnership between the local authority, local industries, and the Centralen association. The local authority owns the building and runs the library and tourist infopoint. The hotel and restaurant company, Sångbergs, is also located in the building.
