Find your way to our destination

Svenljunga and Tranemo are located in Västra Götaland County's south east side. It is close to us from Jönköping, Värnamo, Gothenburg and Halmstad. We are easily reached from the continent and it is just under an hour to the international airport Landvetter.

Svenljunga and Tranemo are our municipalities' main towns and are almost 20 km apart. To the east we border Småland and the municipality of Gislaved. To the west you will find Borås and Gothenburg. We are less than three hours journey from Malmö and about four and a half hours from Stockholm.

By car

You can reach us via highway 27 from Gothenburg / Borås. From Jönköping, first follow national road 40, then 26 and then road 156. Both Gothenburg and Jönköping are just over 60 minutes away by car via road 40 and then road 27. From the south, you choose either road 26 to Gislaved or road 154.

By train

The nearest train station is in Limmared. From here you can continue by bus. Other major train stations with several departures are Värnamo, Borås and Jönköping.

By bus

You reach large parts of the municipality by bus or by "närtrafik" which is a call-controlled public transport.
