City life offers opportunities for experiences, and Strömstad is a charming town to stroll around in. The pleasant and historically interesting town center, with beautiful buildings, green parks, cultural offerings, and attractions, contributes to making it a perfect spot for those who want to experience a seaside town. Be sure to take the chance to shop, eat, and enjoy a nice fika when you visit us!

There are more shopping options at Strömstad Shopping Center on Oslovägen at the northern entrance to Strömstad.

Food & Fika

Lunch, fast food, or à la carte? Restaurants in Strömstad offer something for everyone, from flavors of the archipelago to Asian cuisine. If you’re in the mood for stone-baked bread or delicious pastries, be sure to visit one of our bakeries, Halkjærs, Backlunds and Kaffedoppet.

Craving ice cream? We recommend Halkjærs Glassbar on Norra Hamngatan 9, Norra Valvet at the Square, and Helnys Kiosk on Norra Hamngatan 1.

The best view of Strömstad’s rooftops, the harbor entrance, and the surrounding archipelago can be found up at Korpeberget.
