At Skövde Cultural Centre, you will find a library, a cinema, a theatre, an art museum and a restaurant, all under one roof. The theatre plays host to stand-up comics, theatrical productions and local musicals. 

Skövde Art Museum

A visit to an art museum is always a moving experience. Here, you will find large collections of art by Elli Hemberg, Anna Sjödahl and Ester Henning, together with fun activities for children. Go on a voyage of discovery through the world of art, try making a stop motion film, or create your own art on the large peg wall.

Exciting architecture

The monumental, slightly aloof architecture of the cultural centre is one of its most exciting features. Architect Hans-Erland Heineman wanted to create a multifunctional cultural centre, and had two main ideas: to break down the boundaries between different artistic forms of expression, and to transform cultural premises from mere exhibition spaces into venues for activities.
