Apartment hotel with a magnificent view

The grand old mill Herrtorps Qvarn has been renovated into a welcoming apartment hotel with a genuine atmosphere overlooking the river Flian. The 11 spacious rooms has been environmentally renovated through the years. The rooms have individual décor with beds, bunk-beds and sofa beds as well as sleeping cabins and lofts – which are usually appreciated by younger guests.

Restaurang Öringen

With its lovely terrace and the river Flian in the background, Restaurang Öringen offers an exciting selection of fish from lake Vänern, vegetarian dishes, game from the local forests as well as locally grown organic ingredients. Enjoy food with a clearly seasonal accent, carefully prepared from what nature has to offer at the time. Pastries made from local produce are a big favourite with guests too.
The restaurant is open according to agreement - only booked parties.

Guided beaver safaris

One way to quietly commune with nature is to join a beaver safari. Your canoe glides with the current toward the sunset and the beaver lodges. The safari suits groups of adults well, but also families with older children. If you prefer, you can rent a canoe and explore the rich wildlife and lovely settings along the Flian on your own.

Varied surroundings

Herrtorp is an excellent starting point for active excursions. There are beautiful walking and cycle paths through many diverse landscapes in the area. Canoeing and fishing in Flian are recommended, as well as watching the very impressive crane dance by Hornborgasjön.
