Winter experience in Borås
Västergötland's second highest mountain, Hybergsås at 318 meters, is located In Borås. It provides many great opportunities for lots of winter experiences. Not least at the new Borås Ski Stadium, but also at Hestra IF and Borås GIF's facilities.
In general, Borås has a large number of cross-country ski tracks, both slightly easier tracks on flat ground and slightly more difficult tracks with more slopes. The vast majority of ski tracks in Borås are run by various associations. Municipal tracks are available at Borås Ski Stadium and Kransmossen's outdoor area.
On Hybergsåsen you will find the mountain-like Ymergården and the recently launched Borås Ski Stadium. A short distance away you will find Rya Åsar, Sweden's closest nature reserve to a city. Here is Hestra IF with its many tracks and trails. To the east, at Tosseryd, Borås GIF's newly renovated facility boasts fine ski tracks. There is also a large MTB facility here.
Ice rinks are available in the city park, at the Boda activity area and also at Kransmossen and Hestraskogen, weather permitting. At Kransmossen there is also a popular toboggan run with wind protection, a barbecue area and the "don't-touch-the-ground-park" next door.
