Welcome to Rya åsar – an oasis of scenic adventure right next to the center of Borås! Here, in this fantastic landscape of cliffs and oak forests, exciting trails and scenic variety await, inviting you to active outdoor life. Explore the varied terrain, whether you're looking for picnic spots, beautiful lakes or breathtaking viewpoints.

The paths are adapted for different levels and lead you through scenic areas. At the new entrance to Björbobacken, an easily accessible 1 km trail starts that takes you to a breathtaking viewpoint with tables and benches available.

For those looking for a longer hike, the Almenäs parking lot offers a 2.4 km more hiking trail through Rya ridges which is more difficult. Blue mushroom symbols mark this path that takes you on an exciting journey through the nature reserve.

At Björbostugan's parking lot, a medium-difficulty 4 km trail starts through the "Ekskogen", a hiking trail that takes you through deciduous forests, cultural lands and to nice viewpoints along the way. A wind shelter and barbecue area await your return.

For the most adventurous, the 9 km long hiking trail from Björbostugan offers a challenging terrain through coniferous forests and cultivated fields. This difficult path leads to several viewpoints and back to Björbostugan, completely surrounded by the scenic Rya åsar area.

Discover fishing, swimming and boat rental at Almenäs and enjoy beautiful barbecue areas as a complement to your hike. With parking close to the entrance and convenient access to bus stops, getting to and from these great hiking trails is easy. Welcome to an exciting exploration of nature in Rya åsar!
