Explore the varied exercise tracks and hiking trails that have their starting point at the GIF cabin in Knektås and stretch between 2.5 and 7.5 kilometres. These tracks, owned and managed by Borås GIF, take you through varied terrain and include partly hilly stretches. You navigate through the spruce forest along smaller forest roads and paths.
There are four options on offer:
- Borås GIF 2,5 km: A slightly hilly route that runs through the spruce forest from the GIF cabin. There is a barbecue area by the pond and during the winter the track is electrically lit as a ski track.
- Borås GIF 3,5 km: The blue track, partly hilly with sections on smaller forest roads and paths. A barbecue area is also available by the pond near the cabin.
- Borås GIF 5,0 km: The yellow track, slightly hilly and winding through the spruce forest. This track is shared with the other hiking trails owned by Borås GIF.
- Borås GIF 7,5 km: The green-white trail, partly hilly and stretches through the spruce forest along smaller forest roads and paths. It takes you to open fields and meadows at Hjältagården with the cultivation mounds and the ruins after Skogsbo stables. A barbecue area is also available here next to the pond by the cottage.All tracks are classified as medium and are not wheelchair/pram accessible. Parking is available at the GIF cabin, only 50 metres away. The nearest bus stop, Knektåsvägen, is approximately 2.9 kilometres away.
