Hotel at Åby Arena, 223 rooms, inspired by the Tivoli Gardens

The Best Western Plus Åby Hotel opened in 2019. It is a 4-star hotel in Mölndal inspired by the the fairground scenery at a tivoli. It boasts 223 rooms, conference rooms, offices and a gym. The hotel is right next to ÅbyTravet, the horse racing track.

Colourful and well-designed interior

The hotel is only 5 minutes from the centre of Mölndal, 15 minutes from Gothenburg Central Station and 25 minutes from Landvetter airport. If you come by car, follow the signs to “Mölndal S" and then Åby Arenastad. There is a convenient car-park with 2000 spaces by the arena and many charging stations for electric cars.
When you come into the lobby you’ll notice that the description of the hotel holds true:
“It is a beautiful hotel with curvy furniture, rounded forms in lamps and details, a very colourful interior and playful icons and illustrations taken from the world of the Tivoli Gardens. The hotel is a wonderful piece of craftsmanship."

The 16-storey hotel has an amazing 223 rooms, as well as conference rooms and offices, several restaurants, an exhibition café and a Friskis & Svettis gym. The hotel is right next to ÅbyTravet where you can see and play the horse races.

Åby Arena has a number of dining options, the newest addition being Lyon, which opened in 2019 and has fantastic views over the race track. The Pegasus restaurant is open on all trotting evenings and the hotel lobby bar has a modest menu. There are two cafés and a kiosk in the Friskis & Svettis gym.
