Lovely accommodation

The modern rooms at Upperud 9:9 are well-integrated into the old structure, with solid walls of horizontal planks. You may find an ear or two of wheat between the planks, from the time when the silo trays were filled with grain. The rooms are bright and spacious thanks to the French balconies and high ceilings. The five studios provide snug, compact lodging on two floors, each having four beds, a kitchen and bathroom. There are comfortable armchairs in each room and kitchen furniture too.

Music and events

Enjoy events and live music at Upperud 9:9 all year round, at the same time as savouring well-cooked food in the dining room or on the pier. The large hall, with its beautiful arched windows, is ideal for weddings, meetings and conferences.

Canal lunch and ”Fika” by the water

Enjoy Upperud's ”Swedish fika” with coffee, home-baked goodies and traditional lunches on the outdoor terrace overlooking Dalsland's Canal. The Summer Café opens on Midsummer Eve and the Saturday Café welcomes spring from Easter Eve. More information HERE.

Discover nature with package deals

The countryside surrounding Upperud 9:9 is magnificent, inviting you to adventures large and small. You’ll find the hotel where the Dalsland Canal crosses the Pilgrim Path in Dalsland. There are several really nice nature reserves nearby that you can cycle to, and then paddle a canoe or kayak and do some fishing. If you enjoy sunbathing and swimming, there is the large Upperud pier just outside the walls of the silo.
