A manor for all events!

Opposite the Rydal Museum stands the historic Rydals Herrgård. This former manager’s residence was built in 1853 but is now a well-loved meeting place for concerts and delightful lunches. The scenic surroundings make all family celebrations, parties, and business meetings a truly unique experience.

Rydals Herrgård is open year-round, and meals can be enjoyed in the park-like garden or inside the manor’s beautiful period dining rooms. At Rydals Herrgård, both family and colleagues can gather for more than just meals, as the garden features a large boule court and other games.

Afternoon Tea and Mocha Tart Saturday

On one Saturday each month, Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed at beautifully set tables in some of the stylish dining rooms, accompanied by the sound of the grand piano. On other Saturdays, the Manor proudly presents its specialty, Mocha Tart; either as a sweet ending to the meal or simply on its own with a cup of coffee or an Irish Coffee.

The restaurant is part of the network A taste of West Sweden. The network gathers restaurants and cafes that, in close collaboration with local producers, offer West Swedish culinary experiences based on seasonal and local ingredients.

Scenic meetings

Rydals Herrgård offers complete solutions for conferences in an inspiring and calming environment. The conference room accommodates 10 people and is equipped with wireless fiber, a large screen, and a projector.

Lunch, coffee breaks, or dinner are served in the Manor's dining rooms. If the conference spans several days, overnight accommodations are available, and a fun activity can create joy and togetherness during an event or kick-off.

How to get here

Rydals Herrgård is located in a scenic area, with numerous beautiful hiking and water trails in the surroundings. The Viskan river runs just outside the Manor, and it forms the foundation of the history of the textile industry’s birth. The location couldn’t be better—if traveling by car, it takes 35 minutes to reach Landvetter Airport; 50 minutes to Gothenburg, 20 minutes to Borås, and 60 minutes to Jönköping.
