Walking trail Laxhall-Hattarevik-Sandbäcken
Torsö
Hike on Torsö, Värnen’s biggest island, north of Mariestad. The walking trail travels from Laxhall to Sandbäcken and passes by two beaches.
You start in the north end in Laxhall or to the south at the homestead farm Sandbäcken. The whole trail has signs along the way and is approximately 10 km long (one way). If you want to take a shorter walk you can take the alternative route between Laxhall and Hattarevik. Swimming areas is located at Hattarevik (both a sandy beach and cliffs) and Skräddaretorp (a small sandy beach).

A summer open restaurant is located in Laxhall and has music events. A ferry over to Brommö also leaves from here.
At Sandbäcken you can find Torsö homestead association’s homestead farm. Here you can start a shorter trail Trollstigen (350 meters long) with exciting discoveries for the children along the way. Trollstigen is open all year round. Coffee serving in the homestead farm is open on Sundays in the summertime.
