Crossing four bridges
Mariestad
The walk across four bridges in central Mariestad runs along and over the river Tidan. The hike is beautiful and offers both historical environments and nature experiences.
The walk is a round trip and can advantageously start and end at Nya torget in the middle of town. The 1.8 km long walk is not marked and runs on asphalted and graveled footpaths and cycle paths in urban and park environments. Works well with prams and walkers and in all seasons.
On the way, you pass, in addition to the four fine bridges, a bathhouse, parks, the residence island Marieholm, the old prison and the guest harbour.
