You can get to Brommö via the ferry from Laxhall, on the neighbouring island of Torsö, where there’s a car park and bus stop. You’ll find a timetable for the Brommö ferry here.

Remember to bring all the food and drink you’ll need for your visit with you, as there are no shops, restaurants or kiosks on the island.

Swimming and the outdoors

There are several lovely swimming spots on Brommö, with sandy beaches at Store Vite Sand and Rövarsand in the north, and smaller Sandvik in the south. At low tide you can wade over from Rukehamn to pretty Hovden, where you’ll find more places to go for a dip. The beaches are also equipped with maintained facilities like wind shelters, composting toilets and fire pits.
