Resville Mathantverk
Lidköping
Taste, quality and identity are the guiding principles for Resville Mathantverk’s small-scale production of award-winning jams, juices and marmalades. With traditions from the Swedish as well as European countryside, savour the wonderful flavours of these products in the farm shop and café.
Traditional foodcraft gilds Resville
You find Resville Mathantverk in the Backgård mill area, just south of Lidköping. Resville has been awarded gold and bronze medals for its high-quality products in Swedish championships in Foodcraft. The concept of this small-scale business is to refine the local harvests of fruit and vegetables.
Jams, cordials and marmalade from local products
The shop has a wide range of jams, marmalades, curds, jellies and cordials, all produced in accordance with traditional recipes and without any unnecessary additives. The jams are boiled in copper kettles over an open flame and the cordials are cold pressed. There are products here that are ideal as accompaniments to full-on cheeses, delicious desserts or as condiments in cooking. They include vitamin-rich cherries, blueberries, gooseberries, aronia berries, blackberries, raspberries, buckthorn and blackcurrants. Others that may tickle your fancy are strawberries, apples, pears, elderberries, tomatoes and rhubarb. According to the season, mustard, pesto, salt, honey and various oils are also available.
Coffee with home-made cakes
The café serves cool drinks, freshly brewed coffee and tea, always from carefully selected suppliers. The sandwiches, buns and cakes are all home-baked and are served indoors or outdoors, weather permitting, under an awning if necessary. You can also take your coffee and cakes to the newly-renovated woodshed for a different experience. The café serves hot food, too, prepared from local ingredients for the most part.
