Camper Van Parking at Stora Stenbrottet
Kinnekulle

Stora Stenbrottet on Kinnekulle is one of the area's most visited attractions, locally nicknamed the "Little Grand Canyon." Besides the stunning views and unique environment, there is also a small fishing lake located in the middle of the quarry.

Stora Stenbrottet on Kinnekulle is a 40-meter-deep limestone quarry where limestone was once extracted. The lower layers of limestone date back a staggering 400 million years, and the color variations in the stone layers, along with the beautiful surroundings, have made the quarry one of the most popular places to visit on Kinnekulle.

There is a motorhome parking area at the quarry, and it's recommended that there be at least a 4-meter distance between vehicles. Parking outside the designated area is not allowed.

**Respect the environment:**

"Do not disturb, do not destroy" is a key principle when spending time in nature. You must always be considerate of animals, nature, landowners, and other people. Stora Stenbrottet is part of the Natura 2000 area, and it is prohibited to chip stones from the rock or the quarry.
