Dog-friendly Beaches in Lidköping

For water-loving dogs, there are two designated dog-friendly beaches in Lidköping where dogs are allowed to swim. Additionally, in Källby, there is also a nice beach where dogs are welcome!
At Båtgården, located between the center and Stenhammar, and at Östra Sannorna by Svenska Foder, your dog is welcome to play and cool off in the water. Båtgården features a small beach perfect for play and fun, while Östra Sannorna offers grassy and sandy areas. At Källby beach, there is a designated dog-friendly area next to the regular swimming spot where dogs are allowed to swim.
Remember to always keep your dog under control and on a leash when required. During the swimming season from May 1st to September 15th, dogs are not permitted at public swimming areas, but there are other places where dogs can enjoy the water. According to the right of public access (Allemansrätten), you have the right to visit and swim with your dog everywhere it is not explicitly prohibited. Neither landowners nor others can prevent people from being in and swimming with their dogs. However, always show respect for others and keep a close watch on your dog!
