Cycling in an urban environment

At Råda Ås Recreation Area, there is much to experience. This large forest area offers hiking trails, cross-country ski tracks, an OCR course, exercise tracks, and MTB trails. There are 4 trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels, all starting from the "pist garage," the same location as the cross-country ski track start, which has a medium-sized parking lot. Adjacent to the pist machine garage parking lot is a technique and training area for MTB with gravel tracks, bridges, and jumps. The area is easily accessible and suitable for all ages, including those with disabilities. There are tables and benches for a coffee break. You can also choose to park at Rådåsgården, where there are changing rooms, showers, a sauna, and toilets.

Green trail

The Green Trail is the easiest trail to cycle on and is 5.4 km long. It consists of 4 km of gravel road and includes 1.4 km of trail cycling with a total elevation gain of 32 meters.

Blue trail

The Blue Trail is 8.6 km long and consists mostly of trail cycling with a fair amount of roots and rocks, with a total elevation gain of 75 meters. There are A and B tracks to choose from, where A is a more challenging trail and B is easier. The Blue Trail is more difficult than the Green Trail.

Red trail

The Red Trail is 4.4 km long with a total elevation gain of 25 meters, mostly on trails. The Blue and Red Trails are roughly equal in terms of technical difficulty.

Black trail

The Black Trail is 6.2 km long and is the most challenging trail to cycle due to its steepest elevation gain, with 75 meters of ascent over the shortest distance. However, the technical difficulty is similar to that of the Blue and Red Trails. There are A and B routes to choose from on the Black Trail at Råda Vy, with A being the most difficult path.
