Kungälv

900 m - 10 km easy to moderate

Explore the diverse nature of the Fontin area in central Kungälv, offering an accessible environment for the active individual, fitness enthusiasts, and families. Engage in outdoor workouts at the fitness park, stroll along illuminated trails, play at the natural playground, and recharge with a meal or snack at Kotten.

Nature Playground, Fitness Center, and Café

Fontin is a delightful place for the whole family to explore. The nature playground with climbing structures, swings, and other fun activities is suitable for both small and big kids. Take a stroll around Svarte Mosse, the small lake right next to Kotten. Learn about animals and nature from signs around the lake. The café Kotten is open daily, serving not only pastries but also daily lunch and hearty sandwiches.

At Fontin's fitness center Kotten, you'll find an outdoor gym, toilet, shower, sauna, shelter, and an accessible jetty at Svarte Mosse.

Fitness Trails

Fontin offers five fitness trails in diverse surroundings. You can walk around Svarte Mosse for 900 m, enjoying the view from several benches along the way. The longer trail offers enveloping forests, partly asphalt, and more hilly terrain. The trails can be combined to create your preferred route. Among the fertile woodland areas, bare and rocky heathlands sneak in, interspersed with beautiful areas of deciduous forest, mainly oak, beech, and hazel of grove character. In the spring sun, the wood anemones bloom like white meadows, and during the summer, the rare red water lily blooms in Svarte Mosse. The birdlife is rich and varied, and occasionally, you may spot bats hunting over the water surface of Svarte Mosse.

The Bohus Trail also passes through Fontin, a hiking trail from Lindome in the south to Strömstad in the north.
