Located at Hamngatan 16, Yta is one of Hjo’s charming boutiques, run by Angeliqa and Lars. Here, you’ll find clothing for women, men, and children, as well as home decor. Every visit comes with a promise of personalised service. At Yta, everyone is welcome, always – even your dog.

Yta was founded in 2022 in a shop located by Hjo’s town square, born from an unexpected opportunity, a touch of spontaneity, and Angeliqa’s positive experiences of working retail. The goal has always been to help each customer find something just for them, no matter who they are. In January 2025, the shop moved into new, larger spaces, with an assortment of clothing for women, men, and children.

With a commitment to both people and their wallets, Yta offers generously sized clothing and affordable, high-quality garments that last. The same philosophy applies to home decor, where you’ll find timeless and durable materials such as wood, ceramics, and steel.

Among the brands available at Yta are Sisters Point, Freequent, Clean Cut Copenhagen, and Geggamoja. Yta also enjoys working with local designers and manufacturers, including Mölltorps Gjuteri and Hjo-based designer Erik Djupström. A significant part of the store is dedicated to the local brand Original Minds, a collaboration that began when Angeliqa reached out to one of its founders and designer Milou, to support a business whose vision she truly believes in.

About Original Minds

The clothing brand Original Minds was founded in 2024 by Milou and Henric Froh, inspired by their love for their autistic son, Sickan, and their shared creativity. The brand’s mission is to encourage people to wear their clothes with pride, as well as embrace their own originality – to contribute to a more inclusive world.
