The cosy Villa Eira Hostel is situated in Hjo's leafy city park, with Sweden's second largest lake, Vättern, as its closest neighbour. You can stay in a charming wooden house from the turn of the century and sense the historic setting of the picturesque wooden town, at the same time as being close to the beaches, restaurants, ice cream cafés and the pretty marina.

Villa Eira offers hostel accommodation in individually decorated rooms that refer to historical figures from the city, such as Estrid Ericsson, one of the founders of Svenskt Tenn. The interiors are in keeping with the traditional style of the city, with retro furniture and wallpaper. Most of the rooms have a private balcony with views over lake Vättern. In the nearby restaurant, Biergarten, you can enjoy good, tasty food. Villa Eira is a dog-friendly accommodation and welcomes our four-legged friends.

There are many activities in the city park, such as tennis, mini-golf, a playground and an exciting science centre. Guldkroksbadet is only a few steps away from the hostel, where you’ll find several pools and a sandy beach where you can take a refreshing dip in Vättern. The charming marina has several tempting ice cream cafés and a fishmongers where you can buy fresh fish as well as smoked. In the summer the area around Villa Eira really comes to life with the harbour festival, accordion concerts and the very popular arts and crafts fair.
