Hjo diverclub
Hjo Diving Club is for those who want to join adventures in the deep waters of Lake Vättern. Diving excursions are organized for members and visitors alike.
About Hjo Diving Club
All divers, regardless of organization or training, are welcome. The club is located in Hjo harbor, where the club's boat is also stationed, along with an air compressor for refilling tanks and a clubroom.
We are a non-profit association affiliated with SSDF, the Swedish Sport Diving Federation, which is part of the Swedish Sports Confederation.
Diving Excursions
Hjo is perfectly situated for excursions to the wrecks TageTure and Matilda. TageTure, known among divers as 'the Shark,' lies just south of Hjo. The Shark was a two-masted brick freighter now resting at a depth of 30 meters. Matilda, on the other hand, sank just north of Hjo while carrying a load of potatoes.
For dives in northern Vättern, the club uses its boat to travel to Karlsborg as a starting point. In this northern archipelago of Vättern, you'll find wrecks such as Elsa af Lidingö, Byälven, Tysken, and Kung Ring.
