Scenic city camping with nearby zoo

Borås Camping & Vandrarhem is beautifully situated near Borås Zoo. The facility is one of Sweden's largest city campsites with 52 cabins, hostels and almost 300 camping plots.

The zoo has inspired the cottage village and you can choose to live in Björnstugan (Bear), Lejonstugan (Lion), Elefantstugan or Zebrastugan. The hostel has double rooms and quadruple rooms with proximity to both reception, shop and bistro. The campsite's caravan pitches, motorhome pitches and tent pitches with electricity or without if that is your preference. Stay in a glass igloo

One of Sweden’s most unique glamping accommodation the glass igloo Sky Vault (Himlavalvet). Sneak into the comfortable Queen size bed and look up at the stars... maybe you can see the snowflakes gently falling towards you?
There are 2 glass igloos with comfortable beds, extra mattresses, a mini fridge and other amenities. Sheets are included; kitchen, shower and toilet are in the nearby service building.

Lots of activities

There is always something to do in or around Borås Camping Saltemad. There is a playroom for the children, places to go fishing and lots of other activities. There is even more to do and discover in Borås. At Borås Zoo you can see bears, cheetahs and elephants and also visit Simbaland, where the kids can enjoy the playground and watch fun performances. The pool in the city park provides entertainment for the whole family.

Just outside the camping area is hiking-friendly Rya Åsar and on Viskan the whole party can paddle a canoe. Enjoy pleasant shopping and the restaurant offer in the Knalleland shopping center - only 500 meters from the campsite.
