Downhill skiing just outside Gothenburg

Alebacken is the place to go for downhill skiing only 15 minutes from Gothenburg, West Sweden's largest city. Get ready! As soon as the temperature drops to two degrees below zero, the snow cannons start to cover the pistes and you can start flying down the slopes.

Pistes for all levels

Alebacken has three slopes that cover the needs for beginners as well as more experienced skiers. When you come down to the base there are two anchor lifts and a button lift waiting to take you back up again. After a few hours in the piste you’ll probably need a bit of extra energy, which is supplied in the form of drinks, sweets, sausage and so on in Alebacken's café.

Downhill cycling

The lifts are in full swing in spring, summer and autumn too, so you can throw yourself and your two wheels off the top of the hill in the Ale Bike Park for some downhill cycling. There are several downhill tracks with different levels of difficulty.
