Ålleberg is known as a Mecca for gliders, but the thermal streams around the mountain also attract many paragliders, hang gliders, and aeromodellers. Visit Sweden's only glider museum, have a cup of tea in the café, or explore the rare plants along the walking trails. Amazing panoramic views.
The legend of the Ålleberg Riders tells the story of a sleeping army deep inside the mountain, constantly on guard and ready to defend the area against any threat. What is definitely true is that one of the finest gold objects ever found in Sweden was found here, a gold necklace from the Migration Period.
During summer you also find a restaurant and a campsite on the mountain.
