Land transportation
Many people choose to travel the classic Tour of Western Sweden. This means that instead of taking a return trip, the boat is transferred over land to the neighbouring lake system – or to the sea. Dalslands Kanal AB has partnerships with a number of experienced land transport carriers, which give you the opportunity to transport your boat to and from the canal.
All of the land transport options below apply in both directions.
Nössemark/Halden or Halden/Nössemark
A classic land transport route on the Dalsland Canal. Carries boats and their crews between Halden in Norway, to Nössemark in Sweden, at Lake Stora
