In 2024 the Snäcke canal turns 150 years old and Dalslands Kanal AB celebrates with ice cream! Come and enjoy this wonderful gem of a lock. Say hello to the lock keeper and buy an ice cream or two.
The lock in Snäcke is located north of Mellerud and connects the lakes Östebosjön and Ånimmen. Here you will find the Dalsland Canal's newly opened ice cream shed, where you will find an ice cream box.
Collect your ice cream and pay the lock keeper. You can use your card or cash.
