Rent a cottage by the Dalsland canal

Stay in a cozy lock keeper cottage by the lake with fishing opportunities and nature experiences. Your own boat is waiting for you at the jetty when you arrive. Enjoy your days with fishing trips, long walks in the woods, mushroom picking or taking a tea time overlooking the lake.

Our lock keeper cottages are all located by the lake surrounded by charming environment by the locks and with nature in all directions. A perfect starting point for anyone who wants to experience the peace and quiet that nature provides and for those who want long autumn fishing trips.

Boat and fishing

Ten of our cottages include a boat with an with outboard motor. The cottage "Sjöstugan" include a rowing boat and the cottage "Tvättstugan a canoe. You will find the boatat the jetty below the cottage when you arrive and you can easily buy fishing licenses online.

About the cottages

All our cottages have a fantastic location by the water and are part of our 150 year history. Most of the cottages are newly renovated but have retained their original charm and you see traces of all generations of lock keepers who have lived here.

The cottages can accommodate between two and eight people. All cottages along the canal are fully equipped for self-catering. You bring your own bed linen, towels and consumables. All of the cottages includes a private boat.

From April to October all our cottages are available. You can book our large winterized cottages all year round. You can book:
• A week (Sunday - Sunday)
• Four days (Sunday-Thursday)
• Three days (Thursday-Sunday)
