The hiking trail officially starts at the outdoor area Motionsgården Tavlan. But you can easily start your hike in central Ed. Then walk north towards Tresticklan, Heråmaden and Norway on this straight trail.

The Härvägen hiking trail begins at Motionsgården Tavlan, which in the first stage goes to the village of Klevmarken. From Klevmarken you can then choose to hike back to Motionsgården Tavlan and the distance will then be a total of 22 kilometers.
An alternative is to do a multi-day hike and continue past Klevmarken to Ringsmon, where the trail connects with the trails in the Heråmaden nature reserve and Tresticklan national park. From Tresticklan you can also reach the Lundsnes nature reserve on the Norwegian side of the border.
Rent the cottage in Budalsviken
Accommodation in the middle of the wilderness at Tresticklan National Park. Budalsviken is an old croft located right by the beautiful stream that forms the border between Sweden and Norway. Here you can rent a bed for a night or two during your hiking tour.
