Kärleksstigen - Hiking trail
Bäckefors
Kärleksstigen translates to " The love trail". An approximately 1,2 km long hiking trail overlooking the ancient ruins of Bäckefors bruk.
The trail kärleksstig "the lovers trail" stretches along the ancient ruins of the 17th century ironworks, which can be seen from above. The hike is along a dry forest pathway with handrails at certain places where the track is steep.

The hiking trail runs along a dry forest trail and is partly equipped with handrails. In some places the trail is somewhat steep. The name that translates to " the lovers trail" derives from stories about the mill patron's amorous walks with his female secretary. Hopefully history can provide inspiration for modern, pleasant excursions. A short but lovely hike.
More to see & do
If you continue upstream, after about 400 m you will reach Lake Marsjön and the popular swimming area Sjöluckan. Here you will find changing rooms, jetties, jumping tower and toilet. Visit the museum in the old mill area. Thea are information boards about the area by the museum.
Find the trail
From road 172 follow the signs for Bäckefors center and then the signs for the hostel (In Swedish - Vandrarhem). You can park at the Bäckefors Museum or Hostel.
