History

The folk park in Bengtsfors was founded in 1929. In the early years existed only a simpler dance court and a service building. In 1939 opened the theater building. Several small houses were added over the years, such as kiosk, lottery, entrance buildings, etc. The Bengtsfors municipal took over the property and offered it for sale as well as for rent. The society of Valhall's future has been formed. 

Valhall

The name Valhalla, which later became Valhall, was used from the beginning. The program consisted mostly of dance nights, but later art performances became more common. Thor Modeén, "Nämndemans-Kalle", Ragge Läth and his Midnight Boys and Banjo-Nisse where the entertainers from the early park story. Ernst Rolf is one of the most famous names on the first years. On the dance court, Rosell-Depuis orchestra ruled, other musicians like Harlem Gold, Runes Svänggäng, and in the 40's the popular local band Casa Loma came to Bengtsfors.  Among the big artists that played at Bengtsfors Folkparken Valhall are Glenn Miller orchestra, Osmond Brothers, Paul Anka, Alma Cogan and Pat Boone the most known.
