Train and bus tickets
Getting around with public transport is not always easy in Dalsland. On most buses and trains, you must buy your ticket before your trip. Something you unfortunately can´t do at the train and bus station.
Buy your tickets online
www.sj.se - Here you can buy a train ticket to any place in Sweden.
The app SJ (green with white SJ in it) - here you can buy tickets even as a foreign resident.
www.vasttrafik.se - Here you can buy bus tickets for the Region Västra Götaland (Dalsland, Vänersborg, Trollhättan, Göteborg, the West Coast). Download the app ToGo.
www.varmlandstrafik.se - If you are going to Värmland by bus you can buy your ticket online or download the app Värmlandstrafik.
You always need a bank card and sometimes a digital bank id to buy a ticket online. If you do not have a Swedish bank, payment can often be a problem. But try! All companies also have apps you can install.

The Tourist Office can help you book train tickets and you can pay with cash or card. No refunds och cancellations, for this we advise you to visit www.sj.se or an authorized agent, which we are not.

Help along the way
WiFi and visitor computers can be found at the library, wifi also between the library and the Tourist Office. You can always ask for help at the Tourist Office if you have questions or need help.
