Bathing sites in Alingsås
Alingsås

There are two lakes close to the city centre in Alingsås, Mjörn and Gerdsken.

Along Mjörn you will find "Playa Mjörn" as the local calls it, a long beach next to Nolhaga Park. You can also go to Lövekulle camping where there also is a public beach.

In Gerdsken there are many smaller beaches and cliffs all around the lake from where you can go for a swim. There is a walking trail around the lake which passes almost every beach and suitable cliff.
The shopping centre Vimpeln is just near the lake which makes it easy to grab a bite to eat when you want. You can also rent kayaks and SUP's at the nearby Surfboden.

Outside the city centre you will find a popular beach at Lygnareds camping. Rent a canoe, enjoy a meal at the restaurant and the beautiful views over the lake.

In Ingared you can take i swim i Sävelången, and also try your skills at the diving tower.

In Gräfsnäs you will find a very popular beach next to the old castle ruin. In the same lake, Anten, there is also other beaches and bathing sites, for example in the small village of Loo and on the southern side of the lake.
