Family activities for a rainy day in Strömstad

There are plenty of activities for you and your family on a rainy day or if you just want to stay indoors!

Tjärnö Marine Laboratory – Sweden’s most species-rich aquarium. Here you’ll find over 200 different species of fish, crabs, starfish, shrimp, red algae, and much more. More about Tjärnö aguarium

Biograf Park in central Strömstad shows the latest films. Park is not just a cinema but also has a restaurant, so you can grab a meal before or after the movie.

At Strömstad Museum, children can go on a tricky treasure hunt with a small reward, dress up in authentic 18th-century clothing, try being an archaeologist for a while, or take a break at an old school desk and sketch. For older visitors, there’s plenty of local history to explore – Strömstad as a seaside resort, the herring period, King Charles XII, artist Inge Schiöler, Hilma Svedahl, and much more.

Play and have fun at Djungellandet, an almost 1000 m² playland filled with slides, exciting games, and adventures in a jungle environment at Nordby Shopping Center.
