At Billingen, you’ll find green, blue, red, and black mountain bike trails, all starting from the heart of our MTB destination – the MTB arena. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, there’s a trail for you, no matter your preferred distance or terrain profile. Choose the MTB trail that suits your style and get ready for an unforgettable ride through the forests of Billingen. Each trail’s difficulty level and type are clearly marked in the trail information.

Trail Types

Billingen offers four different types of trails, each providing an exciting cycling experience. Below, we explain the differences between them. Along several of our trails, you may also come across "Skill Challenges" – short loops with a higher difficulty level than the main trail, designed to test your technique.

Family Flow
Perfect for families and beginners who prefer fun cycling on smooth terrain.

SJÖRUNDAN

Billingens Flow Trail is Called Sjörundan. Sjörundan is a blue MTB trail that offers fun and flowing riding with optional obstacles and line choices, making it suitable for most riders. It's perfect for families, beginners, and cyclists who enjoy smooth terrain. The trail winds around Lake Hållsdammen, featuring built bridges, boardwalks, flowing turns, and gentle climbs. Along the way, you'll find mini loops where you can challenge yourself or practice your technique.

SKOGSBANAN

Looking for Varied Riding? Try Skogsbanan. If you’re after a mix of terrain, Skogsbanan is the trail for you. This blue trail combines natural singletrack with machine-built flow sections, adding that little extra to your ride. Along the way, you'll find red and black options, allowing you to tailor the loop to your technical skills and fitness level.

BILLINGERUNDAN

 

Billingerundan is a Cykelvasan training route that stretches across the mountain on gravel forest roads and smaller paved roads. Along the way, you’ll pass the vast Blängsmossen, a unique wetland with a landscape reminiscent of the fells. On the return over the mountain, you’ll ride along an old railway embankment, ending with a stunning view over a quarry. The trail finishes with a challenging climb back to the recreational area.

The groundwater level is high, meaning parts of the trail come with some wet surprises (read: water-filled).

HOMERUN

 

Homerun is a machine-built downhill trail starting in the Gravity Zone. This gravity trail features flowing turns, rollers, and gentle rock sections—without jumps or technical obstacles.

Röd kvadrat.png RED | INTERMEDIATE

HÖVDINGEN

 

This downhill trail kicks off with a rough start, featuring rocky sections, roots, and drops, before transitioning into flowing turns with jumps, drops, step-ups, and rollers. Hövdingen starts in the Gravity Zone, and right at the beginning, you have the option to challenge yourself even further by taking a short black Skill Challenge.

Röd kvadrat.png RÖD | INTERMEDIATE

ÖRNEN

 

Örnen is a machine-built jump trail that starts halfway up the transport trail in the Gravity Zone. This trail features flowing turns and a variety of weightless jumps. Choose any gravity trail down the mountain to eventually merge onto Örnen. The fastest way to reach Örnen is via the black trail Ravinen.

Svart kvadrat.png BLACK | DIFFICULT

RAVINEN

 

If you’re looking for a challenge and love downhill riding, Ravinen is the perfect match for you. The trail starts in the Gravity Zone and winds down a creek ravine, where wooden bridges take you across mysterious water features and lead you into sections with rough, rocky terrain. The trail ultimately connects to the jump trail Örnen. You can also exit before the jump trail, directly onto the transport trail that will take you back up.
